A Look Back at 2019

Where to start with this post? 2019 was such a great year, both business wise and personally.

One of my main business goals for 2019 was to get a wedding or styled shoot published in print. At the beginning of the year I teamed up with an amazing group of vendors to plan our "Come Fly With Me" styled shoot. It was absolutely beautiful and was published in the Fall/Winter issue of Wedding Bells. Huge shout out to Carly-Anne Pruger from White Table Catering for being the planner for this stunning shoot.

Speaking of White Table Catering, I had the honour of working with them numerous times this year. I love how much our work relationship and friendship has grown. I cannot wait to meet the newest addition to their family in just a couple more months!

My relationship with I Like Her Style Vancouver continued all throughout the year. I got to work with both Kyla and Jody on a number of shoots. In 2020 there will be some changes nto the brand. Kyla has taken over and will be continuing on with a whole new idea for what's to come for I Like Her Style. I am excited to be continuing on with her and her new venture!

Over the last couple of years I have worked with numerous social media Influencers. It has been a goal of mine to one day work with Jillian Harris and just recently I got the chance to meet her and shoot her and her team for Smash and Tess' Jillian Harris line launch!

I had the opportunity to work with some pretty amazing Vancouver companies and wedding vendors this year. Fleur de Lis Events, Countdown Events, Eclat Decor, Ellen Hong Photography, Smash + Tess, Reign and Glory, Karlene Karst, Bambi and Birdie, and The Graze Company to name a few. Every time someone new contacts me to work with them I still am so honoured that they would think of me. I am thankful every day of the success of my business.

One of the many things I love about my job is that even when I'm working, it really doesn't feel like it. Last year I even jumped in a couple of shots while shooting small events. This year one of my main goals is going to be getting in front of the camera more, sharing more about myself on a personal level.

Something that was super special on a personal level was the renewal of mine and my husband, Adam's, vows. In May we went to Anaheim (the home of Disneyland of course) and celebrated with a number of family and friends. You can check out my blog post all about it here: Our Vow Renewal.

Last year was filled with many vacations and small getaways. From Disneyland, to Harrison Lake, to Las Vegas, to Whistler, to the Dominican Republic. I am so excited that this year will be filled with numerous trips as well, starting with Disneyland and Hawaii at the end of this month!

All of these are just some of the moments that made 2019 so special. I have big goals for 2020 and know that it will be my best year yet!
