Dollhouse

So sometimes I have ideas for styled shoots that are a little out of the ordinary. I have always said that I am punk glam at heart, that I probably don't belong in Mission, BC, and should be living in Vancouver. My thought process for this shoot definitley shows that!

My inspiration for this shoot originally came from Melanie Martinez's "Dollhouse" video. I decided to do a little different though. I didn't want just a pretty, ordinary doll, I wanted more a doll that goes a little crazy. You can see that as her balloons pop, she goes from happy, sweet doll, to angry, dark doll. Yes, definitely strange, but also super fun! How amazing is it that I have a passion that allows me to be totally creative and out there!?! I'm thinking that I would be a great photographer for American Horror Story! ;)

Huge thank you to the people from the Tretheway house in Abbotsford for allowing me to use the property. What a PERFECT location for the theme!
