Black Swan
When it comes to styled shoots, I sometimes have some funky ideas in my head. This "Black Swan" shoot was one of those!
While in Disneyland a year ago with my family I found this hat in one of the stores and immediately a picture formed in my head! As a lover of dance (even though im a terrible dancer myself!) I really wanted to add point shoes into this shoot. I knew I had to find someone that not only had modelling experience, but could dance and use point shoes as well!
I put out a status on Facebook looking for a model/dancer and when Courtney messaged me I knew that she was the one I wanted. I LOVED her look and her work she had done with other photographers.
There was no doubt in my mind who I wanted to use for hair and makeup. I had been dying to work with Chelsea from Flawless Appeal since meeting her at previous weddings I had done. She is truly amazing at what she does!! As Courtney's hair and makeup was getting done, I was getting more and more excited. When Courtney got the outfit on and came out of the bathroom, I was so ecstatic! It was even better than I had imagined in my head!! I could not wait to get her in front of the camera!
The location was a place I had shot at before. A really colourful, and unique spot! It fit the style perfectly. I am so, so happy with this styled shoot. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to work with both Chelsea and Courtney again!
